FEURICH instruments are very solid designed, nevertheless the lifetime of the piano is very dependend on the right treatment you do to your new piano.

The main material is wood. Wood is a natural material which “works” always very dependend to the humidity. It might be very stable if the humidity of your room is more or less the same during a year’s period, but it also can react a lot if humidity varies very much. Therefore you should try to keep your humidity of the room where the piano is placed between 40% and 70%. The ideal figure is 50% humidity. If it is too dry, which can happen easily if you use a lot airconditioning and no moisturing of the air, the wood gets too dry. If it is too humid the wood expands a lot and might cause tight keys or actionparts or puts up the tuning. Also the finish of the piano can be affected by high humidity. Please contact your Feurich dealer, he will get you all the information how to keep the humidity on a certain level.

To clean the piano in the best just use a dry soft fabric. If your piano is high gloss polyester finish you can use a shamy a little ( moistured and dried again in a towel) moistured with clean water. To clean fingerprints you might use a little bit of alcohol. Please do not touch the keys with alcohol or any other chemicals. Just a moistured shamy cleans your keys well.

The best treatment for your instrument is to play it regulary. Also a piano needs some action to stay fit. Also part of a perfect treatment is the once or twice anual tuning and check up fo the piano by your authorized FEURICH dealer.

Please do not try to make any jobs on your piano by yourself but leave this to skilled craftsmen like pianotechnicians which are authorized by FEURICH.
