Already the father and the grand father of the founder where skilled piano technicians. The tradition of the family working with pianos goes back to the 18th century and was just confirmed by the founding of the company.
Julius Gustav Feurich was the first pianomaker introducing the underdamper action in a vertical piano and was way ahead of many of his manufacturing collegues.
The new building in Leipzig-Leutzsch was ready in 1910. In here 360 workers made 1000 vertical pianos and 600 grand pianos a year, being sold all over the world. At this time markets like Australia, Brazil and Chile had been very strong next to the traditional european markets.

After the expropriation of the company and its assets by the gevernment of the DDR in 1959, there was only one alternative - to escape to West Germany. In Middle-franconia, in the northern part of Bavaria, Germany, a new home was found. A very successfull time began.
