Stephen Paulello is a concert pianist and winner of numerous international piano competitions and is a university professor of piano and chamber music.
He is also trained as a piano technician, amongst others, with Bechstein and Steinway & Sons, and is exclusively responsible for the Bechstein concert service in Paris.
During his visit in Germany he thoroughly immersed himself in the world of piano manufacturing, and developed a great affection for this art. Soon after he undertook his first upright designs, shortly followed by his first grand piano designs.
Stephen Paulello on his designs: "I wanted to do something different, something new, an alternative for pianists," which he has achieved in every way. His experience obtained in 28 years of personal research into all aspects of piano-making, restoration, repairs and the improvement of upright and grand pianos, plus the optimization of the strings and actions.
Stephen Paulello's patents and grand piano designs have been awarded several prizes from the French Ministry of Culture and other foundations. He is also responsible for the education of piano technicians in France, in AFARP & ITEMM.
Claire Pichet is a graduate in case building and technical illustrating. She has a great deal of experience in the restoration of old instruments and is a specialist in 2D and 3D computer drawings of pianos and grand pianos.
